Girl Power Uganda’s ultimate goal is to increase the number of girls transitioning into higher education, breaking the cycle of poverty and creating opportunities for future generations to thrive.

Patience Anette, an exceptional midfielder, who Robin played with on the Uganda women’s national lacrosse team, has always stood out—on and off the field. As one of only four players out of a team of 18 with the goal of earning a university degree, her determination is inspiring. To support her dreams, Girl Power Uganda is proud to sponsor Patience’s three-year degree in Human Resources at Makerere University. This initiative not only helps Patience achieve her ambitions but also demonstrates the power of providing resources and opportunities.

Patience and Robin will graduate at the same time, symbolizing how access to education can help individuals beat the odds in a country where many women face significant barriers to higher education. Together, their stories highlight the transformative impact of investing in girls’ futures and breaking down the barriers created by Uganda’s high rate of uneducated youth.
